High standards create high results.
You notice this when you work with an outlier like Disney. The bar we (Disney) set for ourselves is beyond what most people tolerate.
The highest standards apply not just to the quality of work we produce but the opportunities we work on. If we accept average work from ourselves, we only get average work from ourselves (and our teams). If we say yes to average projects, we’ll have no time for excellent projects.
Raise your bar to raise your results.
Obviously this is a work example. Intentionally started with work to paint an easily understood analogy. The analogy is your personal life, and on this post i’m focused on our (highest) bar for mental growth-mindset, positivity, and optimism.
