Stunning Glacier National Park video

Stunning Glacier National Park video.

Paused this six-minute video many times and studied the peaks i recognize and their relationship to other peaks and ridges.

From the ground, peaks and ridges seem so far apart.

From the air, it’s amazing how relatively close they are to each other.

The higher you get, the smaller the Park seems.

Who would have thought one-million acres isn’t quite as massive as it once seemed?

Not counting today, T-minus two days

candy
Catch the note at the top? We often use humor to mask our weaknesses. Addiction to sugar is a weakness. But if we joke about it, maybe we aren’t addicted? Tough love got it’s name for a reason.

Awoke not long ago at 4:30am.

Planned to sleep in until 6am.

Up later than normal last night watching Avatar.

Not counting today, T-minus two days until wheels up at 8am Wednesday.

An idea woke me up.

And an excitement about being totally ready by tomorrow (Monday) night.

When this happens, Tuesday will be a carefree day.

Less than a week to live?

Daisies
First photo from yesterday while walking to the gym.

Less than a week to live?

No.

Less than a week until an 11-day writing and sales trip.

Work like you mean it to eliminate regret from your life.

And be mindful there is no perfect way, and that your chosen way might not work.

Your way may also be brilliant.

The key is to go for it – no regret.

Slow and steady wins the race

Disney Keynote Speakers
Two days ago, shopping for hiking shorts.

hippie hikers
Whatever. What is a hippie anyway? Technically, i’m a short-haired hippie.

Slow and steady wins the race.

Each day, chip away at the things that weigh you down.

It’s literally an effort that knows no finish line.

Chip away.

Never tire.

Build space in your year for something amazing, especially as you age.

Why?

Because if you don’t, you may never.

Welcome back home to Walt Disney World

Out for an hour-plus leisurely walk after breakfast, passing time until 10:30am when i would leave the Kentucky Drury Inn for the airport to come home.

Stumbled into a Barnes and Noble and what was staring at me in the foyer book racks?

This…

(Karma)

Glacier National Park
Glacier National Park is obviously listed in this book.

Glacier National Park
No photo credit is given for the Park this photo was taken. i’m betting on Glacier.

Glacier National Park
So i only want to open to page 338 and see the pictures.

Glacier National Park
Waterton (the Canadian sister Park with Glacier) is the first photo.

Glacier National Park
This is America’s only International Peace Park.

Glacier National Park
Well over one million acres.

Glacier National Park
The first trip involves an 8-day bike rental. Access to higher elevation trails won’t happen until mid-July this year.

Intentionally resisting the countdown until today.

Why?

Never want to post in real time when i’m away from home, especially an 11-day absence.

So, now that i’ve reached a safe date to begin a countdown…

Only 20 days until the flight to Kalispell, Montana.

And in the same breath, “Welcome back home to Walt Disney World.”

May 30 – June 10.

Leave in 20 days, return in 30.

Eleven days of writing.

And…

Sales meetings with:

Kalispell Chamber of Commerce, Whitefish Chamber of Commerce, Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce, Glacier Conservancy, Xanterra Resorts, and The National Park Service.

Note: This post goes live the day after i return from an 11-day writer’s retreat in Glacier National Park.
