Disney DNA can’t unsee

Chair used as a door stop
A low bar (or desperation) rationalizes what we call this at Disney as “bad show”. There’s not a single door widget in the entire restaurant? Or perhaps put something creative (and fun) on the chair.

Responsibility frightens people.

dad

Humans are perfectly imperfect.

Speaking from experience, accountability is scary when the bar is set super high.

A low bar, not so much.

Low bars are kinda like happy hour when you’re on vacation.

Bottomline, the only thing i’ve legit thought was something i’d change is page 86, question 9.

Which would you pick: a couple-month rainy day fund, or a couple-year rainy day fund?

Or…

A rainy day fund that is perpetually sufficient.

What would you add to mind?

Sunset
Sent from Sippy Downs, Australia.
6-second video: With a minute left it was a two-point game. Arrived from airport with five minutes left in the game. State quarterfinals here we come.

Son, without you i would have never achieved, what late in life became, what i wanted more than anything in my life.

Tanner called yesterday while i was walking through Louisville airport. He invited me to be back on his podcast. He’s taken a 5-month break from his podcast.

His insight during his absence is that he doesn’t want people on his podcast who are simply trying to expand their reach.

He knows i have no interest in expanding my reach.

He knows i believe in karma.

Tanner has read my first book, Mid Life Celebration, about 40 times. He said yesterday that he reads it about every two weeks.

Note to self: Not counting the time i read my book before it was published, i’ve *only* read the book 40 times in the published paperback format. Tanner is now tied with me for most “published” reads.

Additional side note: Today’s blogs were intended to capture first thoughts on what, if anything, would i add to Mid Life Celebration a decade later. Heads up, it didn’t happen today. Perhaps tomorrow.
