Today is the first day of summer vacation.
What am I going to do to kick it off?
“I’m going to Disney World”.
Sitting here writing from the breezeway in Cinderella Castle.
No seriously. I’m on vacation. Sitting here in the breezeway. Yes, Disney’s Magic Kingdom.
The sun is not up yet.
I sure hope this isn’t some twisted fairy tale.
Most of us are fearful. It’s an endowment our Creator bestowed on us to survive – fight or flight.
But in this case it means fearful, as in “way too fearful“!
Once, midlife was described to me like this, “When a man realizes he’s not going to live forever.”
There’s a simple solution to this.
Any of you have the guts to share?
You ain’t gonna live forever. Are you afraid of being wrong?
Consider this: When are children taught mental, physical, spiritual and financial responsibility?
I ain’t a genius, but it seems like the overwhelming answer is, “Never!”
Do we, as a collective society, believe personal responsibility in Life’s Big Decisions is going to fall from the sky and wash over people when they turn 18, or maybe 21?
