Growing up and getting older

Luke Combs album cover
Great song to start today’s walk to the Dentist.

We know all the sayings and cliches.

The clock is ticking.

Time waits for no one.

Regret sucks.

Etc.

Loving the heightened awareness at this stage in life.

Dear Universe, thank you for my birth.

Glacier panic

Two adults at the mountains
Hoping to get Cheryl up here to this exact spot in a few weeks. Photo: 2017?

Started the morning triple checking my calendar and the lodging website. What’s on my calendar and what’s on the website should match.

Guess what?

They don’t.

Panic attack.

Life is not a mental desk job

mind blown art image
Happy present ‘mental’ moment.

Doesn’t seem to me that life was designed to be a desk job.

i suppose there’s comfort and security with a desk job.

i just never want my thoughts to be metaphorically contained in a climate controlled box, also known as an air-conditioned office.

You may have noticed i’m taking a break from most posts being in the “quote” category.

Why?

Not sure.

In the same way the “quote category” had an almost 2-year run, perhaps it’s time to take a break. Maybe that’s why?

We shall see.

i get energy from doing things for the first time.

Kids thrive on this too.

In layperson’s terms it’s called, learning

Rocky Mountain High

Mountains and a lake
One of my favorite vacation photos. Wasn’t even trying to take an amazing photo. We were just sitting on our deck. Photo: The Rocky Mountains about 20-30 miles south of the Canadian border.

When i hear John Denver sing “Rocky Mountain High”, i think of Colorado.

But when not listening to John Denver, i think of the Continental Divide running through Glacier, splitting the east side and the west side. By the way, Glacier National Park is about 1,000,000 acres.
