Top ten SPIRIT questions you should have answers to:
1. What is Love?
2. What is more important than Love?
3. What is Hate?
4. What is worse than Hate?
5. How does the mind or body influence Spirit?
6. If you or your dearest loved one was dying, what would you do?
7. How do you count your blessings?
8. Whom do you thank for your blessings?
9. How often do you pray?
10. What’s at the very center of your spiritual beliefs?
These are the basic, fundamental questions you should have ready answers to. If not, you will not have Joy in your Spirit, nor will you have Peace in your Soul.
Knowing these is crucial for being personally responsible for your health. Not knowing these is a recipe for disaster. There are no short cuts to finding Peace.
There is a Peace that surpasses all understanding when you have done your best. Making excuses chases Peace away.
Happy New Year’s Eve, the biggest drinking day of the year, in the entire world.
What will your New Year’s (or whatever date you use) Resolution be for 2010?
How did you do with the one(s) you made in 2009?
If you are curious enough or smart enough to pay attention, you can learn a lot from what I share. But like anything where excellence is a goal, the focus has to be constant.
Not everyone can keep up. That’s just the law of nature. There’s only a certain type that has that focus and discipline. What type are you?
Looking back to my 2009 resolution to start an Internet-based business, here are some numbers, mostly for posterity (and certainly not to boast):
Ever dreamed of being a writer, but haven’t “published” anything yet?
Are you an experienced writer and want to expand your reach, relevance and impact?
If you’d like to be a Guest blogger at any of the five-a-day blogs I write, please think about it over the holidays.
Most of you saw this coming, and 2010 promises to be the best year ever. How could it not be?
So, seriously, think about it.
I’ll never embarrass you or make you feel uncomfortable. Not intentionally anyway. I may embarrass myself occasionally, but that’s part of taking risks.
What brings people Joy? And why do people try to bring joy to others? Also, what is it about joy that makes us feel good, whether we give joy or receive joy?
It really doesn’t matter does it?
I mean, giving, or receiving, joy always makes us feel good. I love that about joy. Who doesn’t, right?
Yesterday you heard that Mid Life Celebration isn’t selling anything that costs money, and that Mid Life Celebration is one of five daily blogs written by jeff noel (hello), from Orlando, Florida.
Please, make no mistake, eventually there will be an effort to make money – a lot of money – to give away to people.
And also, please make no mistake, Mid Life Celebration is dedicated to making the world a better place, never resting in an effort to sell hope and inspiration.
So I Googled five-a-day bloggers and got 367,000,000 search results, but nothing on the first page described anyone who actually writes five daily blogs.
Okay, no problem, let’s narrow the search, so I typed – “five-a-day bloggers” – using quotation marks to focus the search.
When was the last time you Googled anything and got only one result?
If you are new to Mid Life Celebration, welcome. Hope you find this (and the other four daily blogs) a refreshing visit in a cyber-world that is overcrowded with people trying to sell us stuff.
None of the five-a-day blogs I write are selling anything. Maybe hope and inspiration. But nothing that costs money.
Mind. Body. Spirit. Money. Otherwise known asBalance. This is the second of two posts today. A double shot!
Do you know anyone who epitomizes work-life balance? I do not. So I took matters into my own hands and came up with a life-changing model. It’s ridiculously simple.
MIND – Mental Health, Learning, Attitude
BODY – Physical Health & Wellness
SPIRIT – Spiritual Health; Faith, Hope & Love
MONEY – Financial Health; Job, Career, our contribution to society
I’ve literally spent a lifetime searching for the secret recipe for balance. Since becoming a Father nine years ago, this is the one I’m convinced is the key to transforming my life.
Focus on Life’s Big Four. Hey, I’m not a scientist or a genius, just a common man who looks at things differently and likes to keep it simple.
Things you can do to prepare for a Mid Life Crisis, before it happens. Click here to read the article from Everyday Health.
However, here’s the single most important tip you will ever get from anyone about preparing for your midlife crisis or, as I like to say, your mid life celebration.
Focus on Life’s Big four:
MIND
BODY
SPIRIT
MONEY
And by focus, I mean proactively, in advance, as best you possibly can. This will keep you ever mindful of that elusive concept called “Balance”.
Aren’t our days great when we can be thankful for the simple things? Like a long (and maybe boring) plane flight that arrives safely. Like a friend who’s willing to drive the rental car so you can gaze uninterrupted at the beauty of a new place. And like the ability to act like a teenager, while in mid life, when an Alaskan Moose walks in front of your vehicle. Carpe diem.
