Remembering January 25, 1982.

The original intent was simply to ‘pad’ my resume with a name that would counter balance the limited and unremarkable work experience on my resume. Disney seemed like a perfect name to add.

Who knew it would transform our – Cheryl and me – lives?

No one.

Disney Winnie the Pooh t-shirt — Karma? Yes!

Hours before spending the day at Disney, an executive coaching client wished me a happy birthday to start our scheduled hour-long FaceTime call.

He wished my a very special day.

We’ve worked together for seven years. We know each other’s idiosyncrasies.

Reminded him that i came to know the true meaning of my birthday when i started celebrating it every day.

Same with Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Easter Day, Wedding Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, etc, etc.

Then, near the end of the day, to walk through Magic Kingdom’s Emporium and see this (photo above) t-shirt design…bullseye to what i tried to (re)explain to him earlier.

airport parking garage elevator reminder — Have used Lyft and Uber for years versus parking at Orlando International Airport (OIA) when traveling. Before Lyft and Uber, always parked car at OIA parking garage when traveling for Disney Institute.

Home for treatment.

Timing made it easier for me to park and walk to baggage claim than to wait for them to meet me outside at arriving flights.

A photo (above) of the parking level is always easy and potentially helpful.

Consistently using small, simple, easy, scalable processes is a mindset.

Most patients at the Infusion Center have cancer. Most people don’t know today (May 19) is World IBD Day. Inflamatory Bowel Disease has no cure. IBD is not terminal, yet prolonged, untreated inflamation increases the odds for colon cancer by 30x. Last time anyone checked, colon cancer is fierce.
